The One Mile
YDS turned The One Mile’s repeatedly tinkered-with Squarespace site into a sharper AEO-led digital asset by fixing the structure, tightening the messaging around Guinness, sport and functions, and pairing it with a promo that made the venue easier to find, easier to trust, and easier to book.

What was the real problem with the old Squarespace site?
Squarespace was “easy” until it wasn’t. The One Mile site become a patchwork of fixes, reactive edits and disconnected pages. Each small tweak felt harmless, but collectively it broke structure, diluted keywords, confused navigation and buried booking intent. Think death by a thousand well-meaning updates.
How did YDS fix discoverability
with AEO?
YDS reset the foundations. We rebuilt the site architecture around real search intent, including Gabba match days, Guinness and functions.
From there, we introduced AEO-ready content blocks, clear entity signals, structured FAQs and schema so Google could confidently surface answers. Combined with cleaner UX, tighter messaging and intent-led landing pages, the site evolved from a digital flyer into a discoverability engine designed to attract and convert local search demand.
The goal was simple:
